NAWO Membership
ALL members

must agree and follow the NAWO Code Of Ethics.
- Members in
good standing will receive: An individual page of membership that includes; status with
the NAWO, information of services, an email and website link.
- Full access to the NAWO membership
area, all of it's forums, links to resources and pre-written Ceremony
Scripts and Vows.
- Permission to display the NAWO logo on all
media. The NAWO Website logo links directly to your membership page for clients to
review your membership status, not the home page of the NAWO. (We are
not trying to sell anything to those visiting the NAWO site nor do we
harvest email or contact information unless submitted).

Membership Fee: $60 per year (=$5 a month) Paid Annually.
The fee is to offset
server/website costs, administration/database costs and marketing.
Membership fees to the NAWO will not be requested until after submission of
application and acceptance to the NAWO. Once accepted and your fee has
been received:
- You will be given your login and password to the members
area of www.nawoonline.com.
- Your
Membership page will be posted for visitor review and a Logo/Link direct
to your page will be emailed.
ALL information on the NAWO Membership application
is confidential and must be completed in full.
Please
read the following before submitting an application.
The NAWO does not certify:
- "Groups" or "Partnerships".
Certification is for individuals only. We will not list a website on your
membership page that links to a site with more than one Officiant unless
all Officiants listed are members of the NAWO. An exception is when an
Officiant is located on a group website but has an individual page that
can be directed to.

Because of a conflict of interest, we do not accept membership from
those that operate a Wedding Officiant referral website.
Although we
are a verification service, our members must meet a certain criteria in
the review process. In addition to certification to solemnize a wedding,
we look at experience, integrity and your devotion to this specific area
of the wedding day...the ceremony!

Top reasons we have not accepted membership: |
|
□ Applicant would be a direct conflict of interest with
the NAWO: Owner of or part of a referral website.
(Exception: When Officiant agrees to not take referrals from us) |

□ An Officiant that is also something else: a
photographer, a florist, a DJ, a cake designer or wedding
consultant/coordinator. We only accept those that are Officiants
first and foremost: Which one are you?
One of the biggest complaints we receive regarding an Officiant
that performs other services on the couple's wedding day is;
Only after do they realize that this one person can't give 100%
to each responsibility. It may think that it show that you may
be multi-talented and have the ability to multi-task, some
couples see it as just another way for you to make more money). |

□ An applicants website is directed to another website
that offers other wedding services or Officiants. Website
address provided is forwarded to another domain. |
